Comcast XFINITY TV Sports Remote App is Nice, But It’s Sports Selections Are Limited
As a new subscriber to Comcast Xfinity for my TV service, I’ve been anxiously trying out many of their mobile apps. One of which is the XFINITY TV Sports Remote app for iPhone and iPad that allows Comcast TV subscribers to view TV sports listings, current scores, and even change the channel or record a show from the app.

CBSSports.com Online Super Bowl Viewer was a Big Winner
For the second year in a row, the Super Bowl was live streamed online. Last year it was NBCSports who provided the stream using their NFL Sunday Night Extra online viewer that live streams every Sunday Night NFL game. This year, however, with CBS broadcasting the Super Bowl, it was up to CBSSports.com to take up the task of streaming the big game.

Fox Will No Longer Black Out Saturday Games on MLB.TV beginning in 2014
The one big drawback to MLB.tv is the blackouts. As part of the new MLB deal with Fox and TNT, one small but significant blackout rule will be lifted beginning in 2014.

If the NBC Sports Live Extra app magically appeared on your mobile device recently and you don’t remember downloading it, you aren’t nuts. The NBCSports Live Extra App is the updated remnants of NBC Olympics Live Extra app. It’s been rebranded with it’s latest update. This new version of the app promises hundreds of live sporting events from the NBC family of networks.
