Floyd Mayweather iPhone App Isn’t Exactly a Knockout

Floyd Mayweather is unquestionably one of the greatest boxers of his generation. You can stay up to date with all the goings on with “Money” Mayweather with his iPhone App courtesy of Rock Software.  The App features “Facts,” which are basically quotes from Floyd, “Money TV,” which is videos of his training regiment, interviews, and more. You can also check out his fights, photos, his foundation, and his favorite music.

“Money” has held 9 different titles in 5 different weight classes during his illustrious career and is still undefeated with a professional record of 41-0. Tap the Fights icon to read up on all his fights over his professional career.

Perhaps the cleverest aspect of the App is the Push Ups counter. Tap the Push Ups icon, lay your device on the floor, and start doing push ups. By gently tapping your nose against the screen, the App will count each push up.

Unless you are a huge Floyd Mayweather fan, you’ll probably be bored with this app pretty quickly. Although made by the same people who put out the Chad Ochocinco iPhone app, this one has fewer features, and those features aren’t likely to keep the average sports fan’s attention for more than a few minutes. The push ups counter is pretty cool in concept, but I’m not so sure how much I want to be bumping my nose against the screen of my iPhone or iPod Touch, let alone an iPad.

On the plus side, it’s free so you can always just try it out for yourself.
