Analyze Your Golf Swing with Tiger Woods: My Swing iPhone App
Have you ever been out on the course or driving range and wished you could get some real swing analysis to see what was causing that hook or slice? If you’ve got an iPhone or iPad 2, you are in luck. Tiger Woods, along with App developer Shotzoom, have released a golf swing analysis app for iPhone and iPad called Tiger Woods: My Swing.
Using your iPhone, iPad 2, or iPod Touch 4, you can record up to 10 seconds of your golf swing. Your swing is then analyzed against the swing of Tiger Woods. Golf fans are likely familiar with Tiger’s struggles on (& off) the course over the last year, so you’ll be happy to know that Tiger has the ability to upload new swings to the app as his swing continues to develop and change over time.
The app costs $9.99 and is based on technology that Tiger has used himself over the years to develop and adjust his swing. It integrates with Golfshot.com to allow users to upload swing videos and track progress.
All of Tiger’s proceeds from the Tiger Woods My Swing App go to the Tiger Woods Foundations, so you can even feel good about helping charity when buying the app.
Here’s Tiger talking more about the app.
Keep in mind that since you are creating a video recording of your swing, you’ll need iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4 or iPad 2. It won’t do you any good on a first generation iPad or pre-iPod Touch 4 models. You’ll also need to be running IOS 4 or higher.
We haven’t personally tested and reviewed this app, but it’s one I’d certainly jump on if they release an Android version. Have you tried it? If so, we’d love to know what you think!
