WatchESPN App Comes to the Roku

Looking for a little more sports for you Roku device? With a recent update, Roku becomes the latest TV connected device to get the popular WatchESPN app.

Cord cutters shouldn’t get too excited, however. To get all the good stuff you’ll need to be an ESPN subscriber through participating TV providers (AT&T U-Verse, Bright House Networks, Charter, Comcast Xfinity, Cox, Midcontinent, Optimum, Time Warner, Google Fiber, and Verizon FIOS). By logging in and authenticating you’ll get access to ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU if you get them as part of your TV subscription.

Without the subscription, you can still get some highlights and ESPN3 content, but you won’t get goodies like Monday Night Football, SportsCenter, PTI, etc.
