Essential NFL Draft Apps for 2013

The NFL Draft kicks off this Thursday evening and will run through Saturday night. Be prepared and updated no matter where you are this weekend with these essential iPhone, Android, and iPad NFL Draft apps for 2013.

NFL Mobile (iPhone & Android – Verizon Only)

The Verizon only NFL Mobile app has round-by-round draft tracker, team needs, and a list of prospects. You’ll even be able to watch the NFL Network coverage of the draft on your phone if you are willing to pony up 5 bucks per month for live video streaming. With your $5 you also get 24/7 NFL Network on your phone and live Sunday, Monday, and Thursday Night games during the NFL regular season.

Cost: Free to download the app, and $5/month for live video (available on Verizon only).

NFL 13 App (iPhone, iPad, & Android)

The free NFL App for those that don’t have access to the Verizon-exclusive NFL Mobile app has been updated for 2013 and the NFL Draft. Included is a Round by Round Draft tracker, Draft Xtra, needs and analysis for each NFL team, and alerts for teams, players, and rounds.

The iPad version has been updated with some really great additional features. All users will be able to watch the NFL.com Online draft coverage on their iPads by selecting the TV monitor icon at the top right and selecting NFL.com/Live. (Last year, watching NFL.com/Live content on the iPad required a monthly fee). TV subscribers who have the NFL Network through Cox, Optimum, or Verizon will be able to watch the NFL Network draft coverage live on their iPad by logging in with their provider credentials.

NBC Sports Talk (iPhone, Android, and iPad)

For all the latest NFL Draft news and rumors leading up to the draft and during draft weekend, you’ll want to grab the NBC Sports Talk app to read the headlines from ProFootballTalk.com.

If you can’t watch the draft, why not listen? ESPN Radio will have live NFL Draft coverage all weekend and you can join the fun with the ESPN Radio app. Hosted by Mike Hill, Mark Schlereth, and John Clayton.

Draft Calc (iPhone & iPad)

This apps seeks to simplify NFL Draft trade analysis by quickly comparing trade values based on the legendary draft value chart initially developed by the Dallas Cowboys front office in the early 1990’s. Cost: $0.99

NFL Team Apps

A number of NFL Team apps have been updated to include draft tracking and other draft content. Among those updated are: Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Eagles, Baltimore Ravens, Denver Broncos, Atlanta Falcons, Houston Texans, New York Giants, Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills, Indianapolis Colts, and New York Jets.
