Watch Super Bowl 46 Live Online, iPhone, or Android

For the first time ever this year, the Super Bowl will be streamed live online. Verizon Wireless customers will also be able to watch the game on their iPhone or compatible Android phone with the NFL Mobile app from Verizon.

NBCSports.com, who live stream Sunday Night Football each week with their SNF Extra, will be doing the same for Super Bowl XVLI.

Kickoff between the New England Patriots and New York Giants is 6:30PM ET, but the coverage doesn’t just begin with the game. NBCSports.com will also live stream the Super Bowl Pre-Game show beginning at 2:00 PM ET with Bob Costas, Dan Patrick, Tony Dungy, Rodney Harrison, and a host of other guests.

The live stream typically lags behind the TV broadcast by a minute or two, so keep in mind that if you are thinking of following along on Twitter and don’t want constant spoilers.

For Verizon Wireless customers with a data plan and 4G smartphones the Super Bowl will be live streamed for free. If you have a 3G phone, you’ll also need a VCAST subscription to view live video, which will cost $10/month or $3 for the day. With this subscription, you’ll also be able to watch 24×7 NFL Network on your phone.
